IMAGIN Celebrates Doctor’s Day 2025: Strengthening Community Bonds

IMAGIN held a special Doctor’s Day event at Murshidabad Medical College Hospital Auditorium to recognize doctors’ service to society while building stronger bonds between doctors and the community .
The event began with Ms. Soma Maity, Chairperson, IMAGIN delivering a welcoming address which established an atmosphere of appreciation and contemplation to honour doctors’ service. Dr. Amit Dan, Principal, Murshidabad Medical College & Hospital delivered inaugural speech.

IMAGIN Doctor’s Day 2025:  The event’s significant feature consisted of the “Dr. Anirban Dutta Memorial Lecture” which honoured the principles and aspirations of Dr. Dutta who connected medicine with music and social awareness throughout his life.

The renowned actor Mr. Pradip Bhattacharya delivered his experience about Dr. Dutta’s motivational existence which honoured his dedication to artistic and humanitarian pursuits. The memorial lecture took place with Dr. Abhijit Chowdhury delivering a presentation about how modern healthcare requires both compassionate care and ethical responsibility.
During the evening session Mr. Debshankar Halder, a well-known theatre personality, discussed Advance Medical Directive to promote patient rights along with informed consent and proper end-of-life choices.

IMAGIN Doctor’s Day 2025: Dr. Anadi Roy Chowdhury, Medical Superintendent-cum-Vice Principal (MSVP), offered his heartfelt tribute to Dr. Anirban Dutta, remembering his unique role in blending healing with humanity. Dr. Amarendranath Roy delivered the programme’s final formal vote of thanks which recognized all distinguished guests and speakers .
